A German company (50 employees) decided to supply sensors to Ukrainian car manufacturers. It did not understand how Ukrainian customs works, which UKTZED code applies to sensors with embedded software, or how to avoid problems with the customs value. Its first attempt at clearing goods on its own dragged on for 3 weeks.
We became the local trade desk for the German client: we ran AI classification of 40 sensor SKUs, prepared customs declaration templates, agreed the customs value with customs in advance under the advance ruling procedure, and set up monthly deliveries on a fixed schedule.
Customs clearance time fell from 3 weeks to 2 days. The German client increased its deliveries from €15,000 a month to €85,000 a month within the first 8 months. It did not set up a legal entity in Ukraine — all operations go through BROER's representation.
"Ukrainian customs looked like a black box to us. BROER turned it into a predictable process. We just send the invoice — they do the rest."— Head of export at a German company
